Master’s Degree in Botany from a Recognized University/Institute

Essential Educational Qualification
Master’s Degree in Chemistry from a Recognized University/Institute with 3 years of working experience
in the field of Environmental Pollution Control or Environmental Impact Assessment or Management of
Hazardous Substances or Management of Biodiversity or Conservation and Survey.
OR
Doctorate in Chemistry.
(ii) Post No. 4-5 / MoEF - [OBC-01, UR-01]
Essential Educational Qualification
Master’s Degree in Zoology from a Recognized University/Institute with 3 years of working experience in
the field of Environmental Pollution Control or Environmental Impact Assessment or Management of
Hazardous Substances or Management of Biodiversity or Conservation and Survey.
OR
Doctorate in Zoology.
Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change - Scientist – ‘D’ in the Pay scale of
Rs.15,600-39,100 with Grade Pay of Rs.7600/- in Pay Band–3
ONE POST [SC-01]
(i) Post No. 6 / MoEF - [SC-01]
Essential Educational Qualification
Master’s Degree in Botany from a Recognized University/Institute with 7 years of working experience in
the field of Environmental Pollution Control or Environmental Impact Assessment of Management or
Hazardous Substances or Management of Biodiversity or Conservation and Survey.
OR
Doctorate in Botany with 4 years working experience in the field of Environment Pollution Control or
Environmental Impac Assessment or Management of Hazardous Substances or Management of
Biodiversity or Conservation and Survey.
Zoological Survey of India- Scientist – ‘C’ in the Pay scale of Rs.15,600-39,100 with Grade Pay of
Rs.6600/- in Pay Band–3
TWENTY (20) POSTS [ SC-05, ST-03, OBC-05,UR-07 ]
(i) Post No. 7-20/ ZSI- (Invertebrate) [ SC-04, ST-02, OBC-04 & UR-04 ]

Essential Educational Qualification
Master’s Degree in Zoology or Equivalent (Life Sciences, Marine Biology, Ecology and Environmental
Science, Biology, Fishery, Bio-technology) from a Recognized University/Institute with 3 years
experience in Taxonomy, Morphology, Ecology and Zoo-Geography of animals from an industrial or
academic institution or scientific and technological organization after possessing the minimum educational
qualification required for the post.
OR
Doctorate in Zoology
AGE LIMIT
The upper age limit for the posts of Scientist ‘B’ and ‘C’ is 35 years and Scientist ‘D’ is 40 years.
The applications must be sent in the prescribed proforma (neatly hand-written or typed out in A-
4 size paper 210x297 mm) accompanied by crossed Bank Draft (Indian Postal Orders will not
be entertained) of the value of Rs.100/- (Rupees One Hundred only) towards application fees,
drawn in favour of Drawing & Disbursing Officer, Ministry of Environment, Forests and
Climate Change, payable at New Delhi. (No fees is required to be paid by applicants
belonging to SC/ST/Physically Handicapped/Female candidates).

– 110 003 within 45 days of publication in the Employment News/ Rozgar Samachar. Applications
from abroad and from those in the Andman & Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep, State/Union
Territories in the North Eastern Region, Ladakh division of the Jammu & Kashmir State, Sikkim,
Pangi Sub-division of Chamba, Lahaul & Spiti Districts of Himachal Pradesh should reach within
60 days of publication in the Employment News/ Rozgar Samachar. Applications should be sent in a
