OSACS invites applications from suitable candidates to fill up 154 no. of Laboratory Technician
posts (Blood Bank & ICTC) on contractual basis to be posted in different districts according to the
vacancy places for implementation of HIV/AIDS programme in the State under NACP-IV. The
monthly remuneration is Rs. 13,000/- and to be revised from time to time as per NACO
guidelines.
Laboratory
Technician
(ICTC) : (Posts 116)
Essential Qualification &
Experience: Graduate in
Medical Laboratory
Technology (B.Sc); with
minimum 1 year
experience after
graduation.
OR
Diploma in Medical
Laboratory Technology
(DMLT); with minimum 2
years experience after
diploma. The services of
existing LTs who do not
hold a DMLT may be
continued if they have
done a Certificate Course
in Medical Laboratory
Technology and have
more than 5 years
experience of working in
the ICTC/ PPTCT/ ART
centre run under the
National AIDS Control
Programme.
Other expertise required;
Working knowledge of
computers.

Essential Qualification :
• Degree or Diploma
in Medical Laboratory
Technology (MLT) from a
University/Institution
recognized by the central Government or State
Government.
• Should have
completed 10+2 before
obtaining diploma or
degree.
• The candidate should
be registered with the
concerned Para-Medical
Council if applicable
• Knowledge of
computers.
Desirable :
• Post Graduate degree
• Proficiency in MS
Office
Experience :
• Minimum two years
after degree and three
years after diploma.
• Degree holders must
have minimum six months
experience & Diploma
holders must have
minimum one year’s
experience in blood
banking.
