Applications in the prescribed format are invited from Indian Nationals for recruitment to the following Technical Assistant/Jr. Engineer (Electrical)/ SAS Assistant Posts on regular basis at National Institute of Technology Patna, Ashok Raj Path, Patna-800 005. 

Technical Assistant/ : (Posts 47).

Jr. Engineer (Elect.)/ : (Posts 01).

SAS Assistant  : (Posts 01).

Pay Band & Grade Pay : Rs. 9300-34800/-(PB-2)  Grade Pay Rs. 4200/- 

Qualification : First class Bachelor’s (Honours) Degree in Sciences in relevant subject or equivalent grade from a recognized  University / Institute (Technical Assistant).  

Or 

First class Diploma in Engineering in relevant field with excellent academic record (Technical Assistant / Junior Engineer). 

Or 

Post-graduate degree in science or B.E. / B.Tech. in relevant field from a recognized University or Institute (Technical Assistant / Junior Engineer). 

Or 

(i)First Class Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education or in Fine Arts (performing / visual arts) or Science or Arts from a recognized University or Institution. 

(ii) Strong record of participation in college activities including arts (paints, photographs, drama, dance, music),  event management, journalism etc.(SAS Assistant) 

Desirable :  i) PGDCA or equivalent from a recognized Institution. 

Selection Criteria : The candidates are required to appear in the Trade Test. Only those candidates who qualify in the trade test will be eligible to appear in the Interview. 

The application form and instruction sheet contains qualification, experience, upper age limit and other conditions etc. required for the above posts(s) can be downloaded from Institute’s website http://nitp.ac.in The filled in application should be accompanied with the application fee of Rs.400/- (Rs. 200/- only in the case of SC/ST & Persons with Disability (PWD) candidates on production of Caste Certificate/PWD Certificate) in the form of crossed demand draft of any Bank drawn in favour of the Registrar, National Institute of Technology Patna payable at Patna. The relaxation of the upper age limit for the SC/ST OBC & PWD candidates will be given as per rules of Govt. of India. The applications duly filled in all respects should reach the Director, NIT Patna, Ashok Raj Path Patna-800 005 (Bihar) on or before 10.07.2014 up to 5.00 P.M. Incomplete applications will not be entertained and will be summarily rejected.
